Embracing risk leadership in construction
Join us in person for our 4th Annual Lecture. This member-exclusive event will convene thought leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the built environment and construction sector.
This year's lecture will be presented by:

The lecture will explore how the construction industry needs to embrace risk leadership to manage complex projects,
drawing on David's expertise in this field from the public and private sectors including:
- Reservicing Buckingham Palace
- TfL's transport improvements during the London 2012 Summer Olympics
- British Antarctic Survey’s (BAS) Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme (AIMP)
- Delivering a mega-project: Heathrow Terminal 5
- Four new prisons programme
Dr David Hancock commented: "We so often hear from projects that have not gone well. So why not for a refreshing change, come and hear what we can learn from projects that are going well and at the same time about our work constructing a base in the Earth's 5th largest, southernmost, coldest and windiest continent which is capped by an inland ice sheet up to 4.8km thick."
David is a thought leader in risk leadership and internationally renowned author of the book "Tame, Messy and Wicked Risk Leadership". David is an Honorary Professor at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, UCL.
