CIB is a world-wide network of over 5000 experts from about 500 member organisations active in the research community, in industry or in education.

Horizon 2020 European Commission Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.

European Construction Technology Platform The ECTP develops research and innovation strategies to meet the major challenges that the sector faces in terms of society, sustainability and technological development.

Research for Future Infrastructure Networks in Europe (reFINE) European Construction Technology Platform reFINE is a networking forum within ECTP for all stakeholders that see the need to comprehensively tackle the challenges infrastructures are facing. reFINE targets a European-wide infrastructure initiative aiming to develop RDI-programme dedicated to infrastructure topics.

Other

Construction Leadership Council The Council was formed in 2013 to drive the implementation of the Government Industrial Strategy for Construction. The 30 strong team, led by Vince Cable and David Higgins, includes figures from both government and industry, including business minister Michael Fallon and chief construction adviser Peter Hansford, as well as CIRIA Project Manager Louise Clarke.

The Green Construction Board Government and industry is building on the work of the Low Carbon Construction IGT and working collaboratively through the “Green Construction Board” (GCB) to drive forward the actions set out in the Low Carbon Construction Action Plan.

Infrastructure Carbon Review The Green Construction Board The Review developed jointly by government and industry though the Infrastructure Cost Review and Green Construction Board sets out a series of actions for government, clients and suppliers that have the potential to reduce up to 24 million tonnes of carbon from the construction and operation of the UK’s infrastructure assets by 2050.
