Good site management for hazardous ground gases

Hazardous ground gases can cause serious problems to residential, industrial and commercial developments. Although our understanding about how to carry out appropriate risk assessment, and how to install and verify protection measures have improved in the past decade, ground gas problems still exist in many developments.

This is partly due to inadequate awareness among some ‘general’ construction professionals particularly contractors, site managers etc. on how to look after gas protection measures and prevent damage after it is installed and verified.

This webinar explored how hazardous ground gas measures were installed on site. It explained how guidance developed in CIRIA’s new report, Hazardous ground gas – a site management guide (C801) , will help developers and site staff to facilitate successful construction, verification and protection of ground gas protection measures.
