To support our members and users with ongoing CPD requirements, CIRIA proudly announces the launch of a new online learning platform. We've are planning to offer a range of online learning options over time. Initially we are offering the first of our IEMA approved Environmental good practice on site modules, details of which can be found further below.  These modules  have been developed by practitioners who are experts in their field.

  Resources and waste management - Level 2 (IEMA approved)

This IEMA approved module provides an overview of the key resource and waste management issues at each relevant project stage as well good understanding of the issues and opportunities at construction phases. Learners will also gain the ability to link global issues and goals with onsite construction practices relevant to resource and  waste management and how management systems can help to identify issues and improve performance.  

  Water pollution prevention - Level 2 (IEMA approved)

This IEMA approved module will allow the learners to gain an overview of the water pollution prevention issues at each relevant project stage as well as a good understanding of the issues and opportunities at construction phases. Learners will also be able to link global issues and goals with on-site construction practices relevant to water pollution prevention, and how management systems can help to identify issues and improve performance.

  Non-licensed work (NLW) on asbestos in soil

This new course complements the requirements for Non-Licensed Work (NLW) and refresher training as stated in HSE ACOP L143 and industry guidance documents (e.g. CIRIA C733, Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012: Interpretation for Managing and Working with Asbestos in Soil and Construction & Demolition materials: Industry Guidance (CARSOIL 2016) and CITB’s NVQ for asbestos).
The CITB subsidised course provides generic information, instruction and training for those carrying out non licensed work (NLW) with asbestos in soil, construction and demolition debris as required by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
