Global resource demand on marine sand & gravel EMSAGG event

An introduction into the demand on marine sand and gravel across the world, featuring speakers well-recognised in the marine aggregate and geology industry. Supported by the European Marine Sand and Gravel Group (EMSAGG).

Registration for this event is now closed

Background
Marine sand and gravel continue to make an important contribution to the development of global economies, with demand expanding for numerous end-uses. Planning to meet future demand, by ensuring long-term resources are available and responsibly managed, is an important factor towards achieving sustainable development.

To address this potential for increased demand around the world, techniques for the investigation, development and management of marine sand and gravel require continuous improvement.

For the past 22 years, EMSAGG has worked to identify developments and information needs for the marine sand and gravel constituents concerning all aspects of the industry across Europe. As it is recognised that resource demand is not simply an issue across Europe, EMSAGG have coordinated with industry representatives to give a broad perspective of the global situation.
