About the Soil Community

The CIRIA Soil Community has been developed to bring together a wide variety of organisations and professionals to help the construction industry manage soils more sustainably. The aim is to provide practical help and guidance for the lifecycle of a construction project, from strategic definition (RIBA Stage 0) through to handover/use (RIBA Stage 6/7).

It:

• Provides vital knowledge for those working both on and off site
• Directs you to current and emerging guidance and legislation
• Generates debate to improve understanding among soil and construction communities
• Encourages sustainable soil management good practice
• Highlights key industry case studies and news articles involved in the construction process
• Encourages information sharing and wider learning through regular Soil Community events
• Identifies emerging trends and topics
