Marine infrastructure effects – improving coastal biodiversity (CON246)
CIRIA is the network coordinator to help promote and raise awareness of this project in order to maximise its uptake and potential benefits and impact.
Integration of non-flood defence structures into the flood defence system
The project will engage with the wide range of third parties concerned, and produce guidance / decision tools for use when approaching such situations in the future.
Management of gully pots for improved runoff quality
This scoping study will identify the changes in regulation, research, technology and practice that have occurred in the past 20 years with a view to subsequently updating the guide.
Thrust blocks on buried pressure pipelines
This project will review and update CIRIA's 1994 guide to the design of thrust blocks for buried pressure pipelines to reflect new materials - particularly polyethylene, practices and changes to standards and codes.
Siphons in dams and other water retaining structures
This project will produce best practice guidance on the design, installation, operation, management and testing of siphons in dams.
P3212 - Containment systems for pollution control - Phase 2
This project will produce a supplement guide to C736, drawing on the past six years worth of experience in the inspection, upgrading and repair of containment structures.
P3204 - Sea outfalls - inspection, assessment and repair
This project will produce an operators guide on the need for and the procurement or execution of survey and inspection activities together with associated repair and modifications.
P3216 - Eco-engineering: Greening coastal infrastructure
This project investigates how to use eco-engineering on waterside infrastructure, particularly in coastal and riverside regions.
