Avoidance of water pollution remains a key environmental aim. In the context of industrial storage installations, continued demand for the CIRIA C736 guidance, with over 5,500 downloads across 2,000 different organisations, illustrates the extent to which this document is used in practice. Since its publication in 2014, experience with the inspection, upgrading, and repair of such installations has generated valuable knowledge that would benefit the industry and support continuous improvement. This project has two phases. Phase 1 will gather feedback on the use and interpretation of the guide, identify new and evolving approaches and technologies, and collect case studies that illustrate its application. Phase 2 will produce a supplementary document to accompany C736.
