P3167 Transport infrastructure materials series

CIRIA proposes a programme of collaborative activities covering road and rail civil engineering structures, developments in infrastructure materials and whole-life infrastructure asset management practices.  We will capture asset owner and operator requirements in relation to the design and management of railway and highway civil engineering structures, and match those with the latest innovations and R&D in the fields of infrastructure materials science and asset management.

CIRIA will launch the initiative with a seminal event in the autumn of 2019. It will be here that the highway and railway asset owners and operators, supply-chain and the research community share the latest evidence, practices and/or concepts that meet the requirements of asset owners and operators now and into the future.

This initiative will enable client organisations to inform the industry of their respective challenges and requirements; match industry developments with client challenges and requirements; help CIRIA identify credible good practice research proposals and, and inform the supply-chain and academia of further R&D opportunities
