Questions remain over Government’s plan for improving soil health

The EFRA Committee published the Government's Response on Soil Health, praising some commitments like establishing shared understanding of sustainable soil management. The Government plans to raise payment rates for environmental actions but lacks clarity on many recommendations, such as the Environment Agency's Big Soil Stocktake.
