CIRIA welcomes University of Edinburgh to Membership

CIRIA is pleased to welcome the University of Edinburgh’s School of Engineering to the growing number of academic institutions within CIRIA membership, strengthening opportunities for collaboration within the construction industry and the sharing of knowledge across the built environment.

Their mission to advance and transmit the knowledge base of engineering to meet society’s aspirations and engineering answers to global problems, aligns with CIRIA’s aim of using research and innovation to address the industry issues, challenges and opportunities to provide business and delivery improvement.

The Institute for Infrastructure and Environment within the School of Engineering is a major centre of expertise on a diverse range of topics contributing to efficient, sustainable and resilient infrastructure in the built and natural environments.

Dr. Hwa Kian Chai, School of Engineering comments “We are enthusiastic about the CIRIA membership and eagerly looking forward to generating impacts in research and development of the UK construction industry through working closely together with members from all stakeholder groups that cover the public sectors, regulators, academia and industries.”
