Following this course, learners will:
–Identify the relevant UK regulators, and their technical and geographical remit.
–Detailed knowledge of the environmental legislation relevant to water pollution prevention on construction sites, and the practical interpretation of this legislation.
–Gain the ability to correctly identify site hazards and risks associated with water pollution prevention, and select the most appropriate management controls.
– Gain ability to link global issues and goals with on-site construction practices relevant to water pollution prevention, and how management systems can help to identify issues and improve performance.
–An overview of the key water pollution prevention issues as each of the relevant project stages, and a good understanding of the relevant issues and opportunities at construction phases.
Learner Entry Requirements
Learners must have several years environmental management experience in the construction sector, or should have attended CIRIA’s IEMA approved Environmental Good Practice on Site classroom based training (Foundation Level1)
