Low carbon materials in the residential sector

Attendees discovered how the increased adoption of low carbon materials could support greener practices by the construction sector and help the UK to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 at this webinar developed by CIRIA’s Driving Net Zero Carbon Community of Practice in collaboration with BOS.

The UK plans to deliver 1.5 million homes over the next five years as part of a mission to “get Britain building again”. Herein lies an opportunity to reduce the carbon embedded in building homes at scale using low carbon materials.

This webinar explored how specifying cross-laminated timber (CLT), (recycled) steel, and low carbon concrete could pave the way.
