Background
Repurposing and refiguring buildings have become more common in the UK and other countries. It has a number of benefits such as supporting the aim towards a lower carbon and more circular built environment.
Clients' views and government policy are vital to these projects. CIRIA’ s report Repurposing and reconfiguring buildings (C806) published in late 2022 provides high-level guidance on the range of opportunities available for transforming existing buildings, and to inform decision making.
This event will provide an overview of C806, and discuss clients’ expectations and concerns with retrofitting and refiguring projects. The event will explore practical issues in retrofitting projects.
