Introduction

Most proposed developments will have some wildlife interest, whether they are situated in rural or urban areas. The most important wildlife sites are usually designated in some way and other sites may still have wildlife interest but are not designated or otherwise protected. In general, wherever there is some wildlife on a site, this should at least be acknowledged and the potential adverse impacts on it avoided if possible, or reduced to a minimum if not.

Who should attend?
Site managers, environmental managers and anyone concerned with managing wildlife on site.

Why should you attend?

- To understand reasons for conserving wildlife, the legislative requirements, and what surveys may be necessary.
- To increase your understanding of wildlife and the interface with development and construction projects.
- To understand some of the wider commercial benefits of adopting a proactive approach to dealing with wildlife and biodiversity.
- Obtain CPD accreditation.
