Innovation for site investigation
This event will explore the latest developments on site investigation for construction projects. It will also launch CIRIA's Innovative Site Investigation Hub.
Background
Recently there has been a real push by the government for upgrading infrastructure and accelerating the delivery of new homes. This has created new opportunities for the construction industry. However, at the same time there are also the challenges of managing risks in the ground; sites may have contamination and other problems such as poor ground conditions giving rise to geotechnical issues. Such issues can affect the programme and out-turn costs on construction projects. An effective site investigation can help minimise the risk of encountering “unforeseen” ground conditions and improve the viability of the entire redevelopment project.
Why attend?
This event will:
- explore the latest approaches in site investigation for land contamination and other purposes
- showcase good practice in different type construction projects
- explain how the new CIRIA Innovative Site Investigation Hub could help clients, consultants, contractor, SI specialists, regulators etc. to improve their understanding of their sites and improve their projects.
