This lunch time webinar will explore how recent changes in landfill tax could affect materials management in brownfield site and other development projects and how practitioners can gain more from contaminated land remediation relief.

Background
From 1 April 2018 anybody disposing of waste (and anyone who knowingly facilitates the disposal) of soil to sites without  environmental permits, or under an approved re-use mechanism, may be liable for the landfill tax. All parties involved could also be liable to penalties for non-compliance and face criminal prosecution.  Recent changes also means that more people could benefits from contaminated land remediation relief.
