Background
The final installment of the webinar series will feature the International Levee Handbook (C731) which CIRIA published in 2013.
Levees are a vital part of modern flood risk management, and many regions, towns and cities would be uninhabitable without them. However, the role of levees has received considerable profile in the last few years owing to a series of unfortunate events with devastating consequences.
The International Levee Handbook (ILH) comprehensively details international good practice on levees based on current knowledge and experience from six countries. The handbook covers the evaluation, design, implementation, maintenance and management of levees.
