CIRIA's 60th anniversary heritage guidance webinar series
Throughout the year we will revisit a number of our seminal publications.
Abandoned mine workings manual (2019)
Beach management manual (second edition) (2010)
The Rock Manual (2007)
The International Levee Handbook (2013)

The final installment of the webinar series will feature the International Levee Handbook (C731) which CIRIA published in 2013.

Levees are a vital part of modern flood risk management, and many regions, towns and cities would be uninhabitable without them. However, the role of levees has received considerable profile in the last few years owing to a series of unfortunate events with devastating consequences.

The International Levee Handbook (ILH) comprehensively details international good practice on levees based on current knowledge and experience from six countries. The handbook covers the evaluation, design, implementation, maintenance and management of levees.

Join us at this webinar to hear industry experts:
demonstrate the importance of levees to flood resilience
give an overview of the handbook including insight into the evaluation, design,
implementation, maintenance and management of levees
provide case studies illustrating good practice
share the benefits of international collaboration
