Designing and delivering low carbon infrastructure
Join this webinar to hear more about drivers and approaches to low carbon infrastructure design and delivery, and to gain insight into how industry leaders are implementing low carbon solutions in their own organisations.
Background
Based on agreements at global and national government-levels, reducing carbon will require significant innovations to achieve our ambitions of keeping global average temperatures well below a 2 degrees Celsius rise. However, in 2015, a sector progress report on the Low Carbon Routemap for the Built Environment commissioned by the Green Construction Board showed that the industry overall had increased its carbon emissions rather than reducing it between 2009 - 2012.
The recently released PAS2080 Carbon management in infrastructure and related Infrastructure Carbon Review commitments show progress in this area and provide some guidance for organisation to reduce their carbon emissions across embodied and operational carbon.
This webinar will provide an overview of the drivers for carbon footprinting and practical solutions to reduce carbon. Attendees will also gain insight into how industry leaders are successfully implementing step change to lower carbon emissions in their own organisations.
