Background
Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) is an important issues for many construction projects - both land and marine developments. Although they are different and regulated by different regimes, if UXO risk is not managed efficiently there is a risk of loss of life or injury to personnel and a costly delay to construction or operational activities. CIRIA's Assessment and management of unexploded ordnance risk in the marine environment (C754) is the first UK good practice guidance for the marine environment.
