2016 has been a busy year for CIRIA, as we launched our new membership branding and improved membership offering, announced our ‘Infrastructure & Resilience’ events series, and welcomed our new chief Executive Dirk Vennix. And 2017 is set to be even busier as we develop research projects, continue our events series and explore new topics with the infrastructure and construction sectors.
CIRIA’s winter reception provides an opportunity for member’s to meet and network with each other, and also to hear from our project managers about plans for the next 12 months. Come along to hear the latest proposals, which publications are lining up for launches in 2017 and how our new membership offer is developing.
This year’s Member project spotlight is a part of our Infrastructure & resilience series, with a presentation from HS2. Increasing the resilience of HS2 to extreme weather and climatic events, particularly under changed future climates, is a key aspect of HS2’s design, constrain and planning for ongoing management. This presentation will show how HS2 are developing a whole life resilience plan and working with other sectors to minimise disruption from interdependencies.
