Advances in innovative sustainable materials
This event will reconsider what is meant by sustainable building materials and showcase a number of new and emerging technologies and methods for construction products and materials.
This event is FREE to CIRIA members and members of The Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP).
When
5 April 2016
14.00 - 17.30 (Networking lunch & registration from 1.30pm)
Background
A number of recent developments are contributing to the variety of sustainable materials available for large scale construction projects. This event will showcase these projects and other research in this area and discuss how the construction industry can ensure better take up of these and ensure consideration of sustainable materials as an integral part of all projects.
This seminar will showcase a number of projects and case studies which
are redefining ‘sustainable definitions’ through material technology
advances.
Workshop aims:
Delegates at this event will:
• Hear the latest research into innovative and sustainable construction materials
• See case studies where the use of innovative materials have reduced carbon,
increased health in buildings and reduced environmental impacts.
• Discuss the challenges of including new and innovative materials in projects
• Consider the latest research in material technologies
