Responsible sourcing on the global stage
This conference, jointly held with the Action Programme for Responsible Sourcing (APRES), features stimulating and insightful presentations on new developments on responsible sourcing in construction.
This year the focus will deliberately move beyond UK borders, to consider the impact of global supply chains on UK sites as we broaden our scope to include other sectors.

This conference is an important annual event for clients,
designers, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers, particularly those
in design, specification and procurement roles.
- Clients and designers: can you afford the reputational risk that a supply-chain exposé might have on one of your projects?
- Contractors and manufacturers: with environmental and social
criteria now featuring heavily on pre-qualification questionnaires, is
your business up to speed?
- Scheme operators: can you be confident that your assessment
criteria are up to date and comparable with equivalent schemes operated
in other sectors?

APRES is the Action Programme for Responsible Sourcing.
Since 2010, it has been managed by Loughborough University, a Core
Member of CIRIA, and continues to host annual events, with support from
CIRIA, to bring together industry stakeholders throughout the supply
chain to debate the principles and practices of responsible sourcing of
materials and products in the construction industry.
Now in its fourth year, this conference features stimulating and
insightful presentations on new developments on responsible sourcing in
construction. This year, the focus will deliberately move beyond UK
borders, to consider the impact of global supply chains on UK sites as
we broaden our scope to include other sectors.
Like previous events, the 4th APRES conference will address key issues
like these in an open and welcoming environment – previous delegates
have praised APRES for its consistently fair, objective and open style
of discussion and debate. For more information on previous APRES events
and conferences, please visit: http://apres.lboro.ac.uk
