Gully pots capture runoff from road and other surfaces. While they are not the ideal way of managing runoff, there are millions of such structures across the UK. Optimising their maintenance is important to receiving water quality. CIRIA Report 183 (1998) is still widely used in the sector. We want to identify the changes in regulation, research, technology and practice that have occurred in the past 20+ years to update the guide.
