Construction’s race to net zero: fact of fiction?

We are thrilled to announce this year’s virtual Annual Debate Construction’s race to net zero: fact or fiction will be hosted on 9 June. The event will bring together industry experts to consider how the built environment sector is rising to achieve the net zero challenge. 

With construction accounting for 30% of carbon emissions in the UK, we are set to debate how will the sector play its part and reduce emissions by 68% below 1990 levels in the next decade to meet the UK’s ambitious new climate target? Our panellists will consider:
• whether the construction industry needs to undertake more extreme measures to reduce emissions
• how the construction ecosystem is collaborating to reduce its carbon footprint
