Control
of water pollution from construction sites13 November 2008, London
How to avoid water pollution from construction sites.
Environmental issues arise throughout a construction project. People working
in construction
have to be aware of their environmental obligations and the benefits that
good practice
will bring at every stage from the initial feasibility studies to design,
construction planning
and actual works. Mismanagement of water on construction sites can lead not
only to
environmental damage but to serious legal and economic consequences.
By attending this training day attendees will be able to implement more effective
water
management techniques on construction sites which will improve both environmental
and
economic performance of projects.
The course covers both standard and linear construction sites and delegates
will get copies
of the relevant CIRIA publications free of charge as part of the course. The
training day will
focus on developing people's skills and understanding through interactive
exercises,
delegates will leave with a clear plan of how to reduce and remove water pollution
from
construction sites. Delegates also get the opportunity to get personal advice
and training
from a leading UK expert in the field.
