Clearance and exemption: a nuclear industry Code of Practice
Clearance and Exemptions Working Group (C&EWG), July 2005
A Code of Practice has been produced to ensure consistent application of good practice within the nuclear industry for the management of ‘exempt’ materials and wastes (those that are either non-radioactive or contain very low levels of radioactivity below thresholds of regulatory concern). Formal Issue 1 of the document has been produced by an industry-wide working group (CEWG) following extensive consultation on an interim issue.
