CIRIA
ScotlandThe Scottish office of CIRIA was opened for business on 4 October 2005 (officially opened by Nigel Griffiths, MP on 8 October) and is based in an office at the University of Dundee. It is intended that the office will be a benefit to the Scottish Construction Industry and particularly to CIRIA members in Scotland.
Dr. Mark Sharp is the Acting Director for CIRIA Scotland.
CIRIA aims to increase membership in Scotland and also increase communication
with current members.

CIRIA has a strong history of research in Scotland in areas such as SUDS. We will be establishing a working group to look at Scottish research needs please e-mail Martin if you wish to become involved.

Forthcoming events (including Scotland)
The SCC was officially launched in September 2007 to promote innovation and excellence in Scotland's construction industry.
The SCC aims to meet the real needs of the Scottish construction sector and seeks to engage with the industry to develop and deliver knowledge transfer in ways that the industry understands in order to encourage best practice, improve research and innovation, and increase communication and development across the sector.
The SCC consortium is funded by Scottish Enterprise, led by CIRIA and consists of other consortium members including BRE Scotland, Glasgow Caledonian University, University of Dundee and Building Software Limited
