FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CIRIA has joined forces with Construction Employers Federation (CEF) to deliver SUDS training courses in Belfast.
Established in 2004, CIRIA SUDS training courses are routinely delivered at a variety of locations around the UK including Dublin, London and Glasgow.
Belfast’s first training course, Designing SUDS, takes place on 9-10 December 2008. It will set out the basics needed to implement SUDS and includes case studies and worked examples from a variety of developments. This course is suitable for the experienced and beginners alike. Attendees will receive a free copy of CIRIA’s best-selling SUDS manual (C698).
The course is run by Bob Bray and Anthony McCloy; both of whom have extensive
experience in SUDS design and installation as well as the delivery of comprehensive
training in this area.
In 2009, CIRIA will expand its Belfast programme of events to include a SUDS
foundation course and a green roofs course.
CIRIA has secured two of the UK’s prominent experts in green roofs training — Dusty Gedge and Gary Grant — to deliver the green roof training in Belfast. The course provides attendees with the tools to include green roofs in their construction projects. The day includes a presentation on local roof projects. Attendees will receive a copy of CIRIA’s publication Building greener (C644).
All the courses are at the CEF headquarters in Malone Road, Belfast. CEF
and CIRIA members will be eligible to attend these courses at discounted member
rates.
