PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brownfield redevelopment showcase announced

Despite the recent uncertainty in the UK property market, brownfield redevelopment continues to provide good opportunities for the construction industry. This year’s CIRIA Annual Contaminated Land Conference - brownfield redevelopment: a good practice show case includes expert speakers and facilitators from a broad spectrum of disciplines and sectors relating to remediation and redevelopment.

The conference offers the opportunity to network and share knowledge with others in the industry and includes a number of presentation, workshops, discussion sessions and an exhibition.

Attendees will learn about major changes in risk assessment and waste management issues; find out how good practice can be applied to remediation projects; and explore how issues such as flooding has affected the way that contaminated land is managed.

The conference is sponsored by WRAP, Halcrow Group, Arcadis GMI, BACTEC and Envirotreat and will take place on 4th November 2008 in London. To download the full conference programme or to book a place, visit www.ciria.org/conferences.htm or contact CIRIA, Classic House, 174-180 Old Street, London EC1V 9BP.
