November 2008, London
Brownfield redevelopment continues to provide good opportunities for the construction industry despite recent speculation of a downturn in the property market and low performance in the city. The UK has over 20 years of developing good practice guidance on contaminated land however as the number of projects increase, there is now a shortage of people with the appropriate skills.
This event will examine major changes in risk assessment and waste management issues. It will explore how the changes on national and local economy are affecting some client’s approaches to these projects. It will also look at how useful recent good practice has been and explore new issues such as flooding and contaminated land.
