Influencing CIRIA's activities

Members have always influenced CIRIA’s activities to ensure it delivers outputs that meet their requirements.

Project steering groups
Being involved in project steering groups provides members with the opportunity to guide the direction of individual projects to ensure that the output will be relevant and applicable to their organisation.

Advisory panels and interest groups
By participating in advisory panels and other interest groups, Core members can also influence the scope and content of future CIRIA projects.

Executive Board
The formation of an Executive Board in 1999 consisting of Core members and CIRIA staff has provided an effective means of managing CIRIA’s business.

CIRIA Member Council
Finally, the new Council arrangements introduced in 2004 will give members a more strategic role in guiding the direction of CIRIA’s activities to best serve their interests.
