Chemical
storage tank systems - design, construction and installation good practice
CIRIA has conducted this research project to provide guidance on good practice for the design, manufacture, installation, operation, inspection and maintenance of chemical storage tank systems (including tanks, bunds, associated pipework and ancillary equipment such as control and monitoring equipment). The aim is to reduce the number of incidents and reduce the resulting environmental impact. The guidance has been developed through consultation with stakeholders and is intended for use by any sized company, including regulators, system designers, manufacturers, suppliers, installers, owners and operators of chemical storage systems.
