The UK Government’s target is to achieve a 20 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions by 2010 and a 60 per cent reduction by 2050. All new homes will be zero carbon by 2016, with a progressive tightening of the energy efficiency building regulations by 25 per cent in 2010 and by 44 per cent in 2013, to reach the zero carbon target in 2016.
In order to meet the demands of a low carbon future, development and understanding of newer technologies will be required. This workshop will provide an informative insight into the issues surrounding low carbon technology.
