Description: A growing number of enlightened construction industry organisations have embraced this technology. They are now transforming the way they transmit and access information directly from the worksite using handheld computing devices.
A wide range of applications has delivered significant improvements in business efficiency. These include such aspects as direct interaction with project databases, laser barcode and radio tag readers to manage and track deliveries, computerised defect management systems and health & safety auditing.
This workshop presented a number of case studies and also examined the issues relating to process review, quality of data and the required culture shift.
