Managing extreme events through drainage exceedance is an important approach
to managing local flood risk. However, there is uncertainty as to how far this
approach has been delivered, and there has been some evolution in approaches to
managing extreme events and exceedance.
This project will investigate new
approaches, assess uptake, showcase and disseminate good practice helping to
develop a compelling business case and provide recommendations on how delivery
can be further improved and encouraged.
CIRIA is currently seeking support and involvement from industry.
