Effective management of environmental issues in facilities management (P3066)

Facility management encompasses multi-disciplinary activities within the built environment and the management of their impact upon people and the workplace.

Effective FM, combining resources and activities, is vital to the success of any organisation. At a corporate level, it contributes to the delivery of strategic and operational objectives. At an operational level it ensures the provision of effective, efficient and comfortable building stock. On a day-to day level, effective FM provides a safe and efficient working environment, which is essential to the performance of any business – whatever its size and scope.

The aim of the project is to develop a one-day training course that helps delegates understand the key environmental issues to manage during facilities management activities and the good practice to be implemented on a day-to-day basis.

The intention is, following development and delivery of the course, to develop a good practice guide as the ‘core’ further guidance resource to accompany the course.

Project status
