Road to Rio +20 – CIRIA launches sustainability events

CIRIA has launched a series of events to tie into the Road to Rio +20 conference. The conference is of particular significance for the construction industry because of its impact on sustainability. Developed land accounts for one-third of green house gas emissions globally and consumes nearly half of the world’s energy and resources.

This series of CIRIA events will provide an opportunity to discuss what has been achieved in the last twenty years, existing issues and the future. The events will focus on five themes including, climate change mitigation and adaptation, water, biodiversity, waste and materials.
