CIRIA’s Ground Engineering Advisory Panel is made up of consultants, contractors, academics and client organisations with a wealth of knowledge and experience in geotechnics and related subjects. Their contributions towards CIRIA's objective of providing good practice guidance has been invaluable. These papers have been developed by the members following presentations given at the panel's mini-conference held on 7 November 2011. They aim to highlight emerging issues within the sector and elaborate on the work areas of the contributors.
