There is a minimum order of five copies for this title
Geotechnical or ground engineering is an area that is both fundamental to many construction processes and constantly evolving through the incorporation of new technology and ideas. CIRIA has been active in the ground engineering community for the last 50 years and the guidance produced has played a fundamental role in shaping understanding and adopting the advancing techniques developed over this time.
CIRIA’s Ground Engineering Advisory Panel (GEAP) is made up of engineers and consultants with a wealth of knowledge and experience in geotechnical issues, and their contributions towards CIRIA’s objective of providing good practice guidance has been invaluable. These papers have been developed by the members following presentations that they gave at the panel’s mini-conference in November 2009. They aim to highlight emerging issues within the sector and elaborate on the work areas of the contributors.
