Environmental good practice on site – new CIRIA guidance

Join us for the launch of our new guidance Environmental good practice on site guide (fifth edition) (C811) to discover how to effectively manage environmental, social and economic, legislation and contract conditions at your construction sites.

Background
Every construction project has environmental requirements that need to be well-managed by the site manager and workers on site. In 2015, CIRIA published Environmental good practice on site guide (fourth edition) (C741) which provided essential guidance to site managers. However, the construction industry has come under increasing pressure to reduce negative environmental impacts. With the introduction of the Environment Act 2021, construction projects are expected to be carried out at higher environmental standards and achieve new national environmental commitments such as net zero emission by 2050.

Environmental good practice on site guide (fifth edition) (C811) provides up to date practical guidance on delivering sustainable construction at the site level including ecology, protected species and habitats, historic environments and archaeological remains, land contamination, nuisance (eg noise, vibration, lighting, dust, emissions, odours), resources (eg energy, materials, water and waste), and traffic/travel arrangements and vehicle use.

This webinar will provide attendees with an overview of CIRIA’s new guidance and its timely updates, and demonstrate its practical application to manage a range of environmental issues on construction sites.

Special offer
All attendees will qualify from a 20% discount off Environmental good practice on site guide (fifth edition) (C811) for a limited period. The promotional code will be communicated with the joining instructions pre-event.
