Assessing the impact of climate change on contaminated land

This webinar will review current practices regarding the impact of climate change on contaminated land. Consultants, insurers and regulators will share how they are addressing the challenges presented by climate change. We will also review the work undertaken by the UK Climate Resilience Programme and other leading organisations, and present the recommendations of CIRIA's climate change and contaminated land interest group

Background
Climate change is a global challenge requiring swift action to avoid potentially devastating consequences. The impact of rising temperatures and sea levels (excluding our historical coastal landfills) on construction schemes is well documented. However, what is often overlooked is how changes in the intensity and frequency of extreme weather events affect contaminated land projects.

Join us to explore how stakeholders view climate change and contaminated land, and hear how consultants, insurers and regulators are responding to the challenges posed by climate change.
