UXO for land projects - how can we do better?

This lunch time webinar will explore the latest development on how to manage the problem, highlighting guidance developed in the new CIRIA report C785, Unexploded ordnance (UXO) risk management guide for land-based projects

Background
Unexploded ordnance (UXO) is one of many hazards affecting land-based projects in the UK.  If not handled correctly UXO risk can be both time consuming and costly.  The chances of coming across UXO increases significant with the growing need for new homes.  The release of former military land, growing pressure to use undeveloped brownfield land, and the increase in number of taller and deeper structures which result in ground being disturbed for the first time (since military use or bombings during the two world wars).

Why attend
  • Explore how UXO risk is currently managed
  • Provide practical advice on how to implement good risk management processes
  • Discuss how the industry could do better
