Introduction
Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) make a vital contribution to managing local flood risk and water quality as well as providing opportunities for biodiversity and amenity in new developments and redevelopments. With the commencement of Schedule 3 of the Flood and Water Management in Wales SuDS are now required in all developments. The training is consistent with the CIRIA SuDS Manual and the Minister’s SuDS Standards and it will provide those designing and approving SuDS with opportunities to improve their understanding and confidence in designing high quality SuDS that deliver multiple benefits.

Who should attend

This engaging course is designed for those that are new to SuDS requiring an overview of the aims, benefits and the components. It will also explain the SuDS philosophy and main objectives.

The training will be relevant to clients, consulting engineers, local authorities, highway authorities, developers, sewerage  undertakers, landscape architects, contractors, planners, architects, environmental regulators and manufacturers and suppliers.
