CANCELLED Webinar: Operationalising the SDGs

This lunchtime webinar will consider how two organisations are embedding and implementing the SDGs as a framework to measure the performance of sustainability work and to make a significant positive contribution to society.

Background

Since 2015 the UK has been committed to the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); a global blueprint for tackling the most pressing challenges such as tackling climate change, reducing poverty and inequality and creating a better future for all of us. The SDGs has been described as the ‘five Ps’ plan of action for people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership.

The built environment sector has an essential role to play through the delivery of climate change targets and by making it easy for people to live and work in a sustainable way. Businesses are demonstrating that significant challenges can be overcome by improving design and construction, with support from appropriate management tools and regulatory frameworks that address sustainable development issues.

This webinar will consider how two organisations have operationalised the SDGs by embedding them as part of their sustainability strategies.
