Background
The BIG Biodiversity Challenge is an initiative to raise awareness of how biodiversity needs to become a key component within the construction industry, as an integrated part of planning and delivering projects.

The BIG Biodiversity challenge continues to be recognised as the number one industry initiative for delivering biodiversity within construction and the built environment. Since its launch in 2013, the challenge has grown considerably and attracts organisations from a wide range of stakeholder groups.

The BIG biodiversity Awards launch for 2018, hosted at City Hall - London, will showcase the best biodiversity enhancements across construction and the wider built environment awarded in 2017. The event will include last year’s winners and our BIG Biodiversity Champion 2017.

Why attend?
Delegates at this event will:
  • gain an understanding of how the construction industry can support interventions that promote biodiversity
  • hear case studies that demonstrate how one thing can lead to larger and more widespread interest and understanding of issues relating to biodiversity in the construction industry
  • have an opportunity to understand the process of taking the BIG Biodiversity Challenge as well as how to enter this year’s awards
