BIG Biodiversity Challenge - Launch event

This event will launch the BIG Biodiversity Challenge 2017 and its annual awards which will be presented in September. The event will showcase the 2016 winners’ projects and demonstrate the impact and outcomes that can be achieved by the construction industry when they do one thing for biodiversity.

Background
Now in its 4th year, the Challenge celebrates biodiversity enhancements that have been initiated and carried out by the construction industry. In what is rapidly becoming an annual highlight in the construction industry’s calendar, the BIG Biodiversity Challenge invites those involved in planning, design and construction to add just one new biodiversity enhancement to a building site, development or existing structure. No matter how big or small, permanent or temporary your project, we seek creative and thoughtful interventions with the key purpose of enhancing biodiversity.

This launch event will showcase the 2016 award winners’ projects demonstrating the impact and outcomes that can be achieved by the construction industry when they Do One Thing for biodiversity. We will celebrate and illustrate how small interventions can lead to BIG outcomes and we take pleasure in sharing the experience of last year’s winners who will all demonstrate how this was successfully achieved and advanced in 2016.

If you are interested in sponsoring or taking the BIG Biodiversity Challenge this year and would like to understand the benefits of getting involved, what this entails for your organisation, examples of good practice, and the qualities needed to be a winner, then this is the event for you.

Speakers will be available for Q&A at the end of the event.
