Verification of gas membranes: a 2016 update

This event is currently FULLY BOOKED

This course will provide regulators and practitioners with an overview of currently recognised good practice for the design, installation, verification and integrity testing of gas membrane systems.

Further details will be available shortly. If you are interested in attending, please email [email protected]

Background

There has been an increased recognition of the need for verification of remediation carried out on land affected by contamination including gases and vapours.

This course will provide regulators and practitioners with an overview of currently recognised good practice for the design, installation, verification and integrity testing of gas membrane systems. A workshop session will be used to bring together the aspects learnt during the earlier part of the day and bring out key learning points

Why attend
  • To examine if the industry practice for gas mitigation has changed since CIRIA report C735 Good practice on the testing and verification of protection systems for buildings against hazardous ground gases was published in 2014
  • To explore the latest good practice on verification of gas protection systems for contaminated sites
  • To explore where areas which needs futher improvement
Who should attend
Academics, asset managers, consultants, engineers, ecologists, landscape architects, urban designers and local planning authority representatives.

Required level of knowledge
The workshop assumes a general working knowledge of the current UK regulatory framework for assessment of land contamination including principles set out in CLR 11, revised Part 2a statutory guidance and C4SL.

Delegates should also be familiar with CIRIA report Good practice on the testing and verification of protection systems for buildings against hazardous ground gases (C735)
