CANCELLED - Innovative remediation for contaminated land

This event will explore the latest developments, the theory and practical application of the new contaminated land remediation approaches. It will also discuss how these approaches will be 'accepted' by the clients and regulators and incorporated into different types of projects.

Background
Remediation approaches have progressed significantly in the past decades, partly because of the implementation of the Landfill Directives in the UK. Process based methods are now commonly applied to many brownfield projects.

However, in order to make full use of these techniques, construction professionals need to be kept up to date with latest development, understand the benefits and limitations, theory and practical application of the new approaches.

Why attend
This event will explore:
  • the pros and cons of existing and emerging technologies
  • how to design and implement in a safe and effective manner
  • how to optimise the processes, particularly if a number of different
remediation approaches are used on a site
  • legal and permits requirements
  • cost vs benefits
